When we were first given this assignment, I wasn't really sure about where I would hear web 2.0 mentioned in the media. Apparently I just wasn't thinking, as it seems in the last week there was news about the new facebook changes and the hoax about them charging, reports of pet-nappings from the information on facebook pages, and discussions by the NFL and NHL on how to deal with players interacting with fans on twitter. There was also this interesting news piece about the NASA satellite, and how one Alberta man was inspired to tweet parts of the radio broadcast of War of the Worlds in relation to the satellite. I teach War of the Worlds to my grade 10 class, and they often make comments like "people are so stupid" because they fell for the broadcast...I look forward to discussing this with them next time! I think my new motto may be "If you tweet it, they will come"!!!
